“Earth Treasury” refers to Earth Store Bodhisattva (Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha). It is Earth Store Bodhisattva's sutra that we focus on during our retreats and a basic prerequisite to Buddhist learning and practice. Our organization advances the teachings of the Pure Land school of Mahayana Buddhism by offering various types of Earth Store Bodhisattva retreats. These retreats are a combination of learning via theory and practice. Lectures are held in order to covey the theory behind why we practice the way we do and the practical aspect involves the application of that theory in our daily lives. We hold seven-day retreats, weekend retreats, weekend group practices as well as weekday online group practices.

Our cultivation method is comprised of six aspects as followed:

Being vegetarian in order to refrain from killing.

Chanting the "Sutra of the Past Vows of Earth Store Bodhisattva".

Making prostrations in accordance with “Eighty-Eight Buddha's Repentance Ceremony”.

Protecting animals.

Doing good deeds to lead a moral life.

Reciting Amitabha Buddha's name to be reborn in the Western Pure Land and attain Buddhahood.

During the retreats, the participants will learn the basic theories of Buddhism and its cultivation methods. The participants via the practice and bowing repentance of past misdeeds, are encouraged to see their own faults and make a strong resolve for Bodhi. Also, they will become more familiar with the Buddha's teachings of karma (law of cause and effect) and how to live a good life guided by the “Five Precepts and Ten Good Deeds” (morality).
